Poison Ivy, whose real name is Pamela Isley, is a prominent DC Comics villain and occasional anti-heroine, known for her botanical powers and eco-terrorism. She first appeared in Batman #181 (June 1966).

Isley was originally a promising botany student seduced and experimented upon by Dr. Jason Woodrue, who injected her with plant toxins. This transformed her into a human-plant hybrid with toxic blood, enhanced strength, and the ability to control plant life.

Her powers allow her to secrete potent toxins, control plants with her mind, and generate pheromones to influence others. She often uses these abilities to protect the environment, seeing humanity as a threat to the natural world.
